Jenny R. Miller, MSW is executive director and owner of Senior Care Concepts Inc. and has been a social worker for 10 years. She has extensive experience with seniors, their families and the challenges they face.

Jenny worked for the Massachusetts Department of Elderly Affairs expanding a program for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren. While working in that department, as project manager, she enriched the grandparents program to provide further services and outlets for the clients to enjoy.

During the seven years that Jenny worked for the Village Retirement Communities, in Greenville, RI she held a variety of positions including activities director, community outreach director, social worker, assistant administrator and regional marketing director. While there, Jenny was also instrumental in assisting with the Grand Opening of one of the communities new Alzheimer’s Unit.

Jenny has a strong commitment to working with the elderly due in part to a special relationship she had with her grandmother. That relationship developed into a strong passion for her work with the senior population and her feeling that every client should be treated like her grandmother.

Jenny is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (GCM), and the National and Rhode Island Associations of Social Workers (NASW). She holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Human Development from Wheelock College in Boston and a Master’s in Social Work and Gerontology from Boston University. Additionally, Jenny is a licensed Assisted Living Administrator for the State of Rhode Island.

She is very involved in community activities and is a member of the Providence Rotary Club and on the board of directors for the Rhode Island Alzheimer’s Association. Jenny and Senior Care Concepts Inc. was also recently honored with the “2007 Making a Difference Award” from Wheelock College, given to alumni that have made a significant difference to children and families. Jenny is a lifelong resident of Warwick and resides there with her husband, Eric and 2 young daughters.

Christina Studer-Philippi

Christina Studer-Philippi is a registered nurse with her BSN from Saint Anselm College, and has worked in the medical field for over 20 years. Her experience comprises work in the hospital setting as well as in numerous case management settings-(case management and home care coordination for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, long term care insurance coordination for John Hancock Insurance Company, worker’s compensation case management for Concentra,) and marketing.

While at BCBS she participated in a special project for the “acute and chronically ill patients” which resulted in reducing falls and crises at home, drastically reducing the need for repeated hospitalizations, thereby improving the quality of life for this population.

She is active in her local school community and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jonnycake Center of Peacedale, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating hunger in her community. She moved to Rhode Island 7 years ago and lives with her husband and three daughters in Kingston.
